Clara

This page is a tribute to my mother. She was born in the Appalachian town of Prestonsburg, Kentucky in 1912. Life was never easy for her. She lost her father to typhoid fever when she was only three and her mother remarried soon after as a widow with three children could not survive alone in that day and place.
